Caught in the Act
A video has been circulating online which appears to show a high-level Facebook staff member allegedly being caught in a child sex sting operation.
On February 17th 2022, YouTube channel, Predator Catchers Indianapolis, live streamed a sting they were running in which they confronted Facebooks Manager of Community Development, Jeren Andrew Miles, for attempting to solicit a 13 year old boy to solicit nudes and to meet the minor for his own sexual gratification.
The allegations are that Jeren had been sending messages back and forth with the decoy for quite some time, and he supposedly arranged to meet the 13 year old boy in a hotel room. Once the meet was set, Predator Catchers Indianapolis instead turned up and confronted him while live streaming it all on YouYube.
In the 2 hour long video posted to their YouTube channel, he appears to deny this stating: “I was talking to him throughout all this… there was never any intention of ever meeting up with him,” one member of the PCI (Predator Catchers Indianapolis) responds with “but you did set to meet with him?”
Jeren eventually admits that he did arrange to meet up with what he believed was a 13 year old boy, stating “this is the first time I’ve done this.” He also admitted to sexting with what he believed to be a minor.
Additionally, in one of the messages allegedly sent by Jeren he boasts about his position at Facebook, now Meta, citing “I’m the head of a global community development for Meta,” as a response to the question “what do you do?”
There are many groups that exist like Predator Catchers Indianapolis, who have decoys that pretend to be underage online. They will then wait until the predator wants to arrange a meetup, so it doesn’t classify as entrapment, and then they will turn up instead with cameras and then they usually will alert the police and give them all the information and evidence they need.
Of course it’s the first time he’s done this! That’s what all pedophiles say when caught.
